The short version: Carlitos keeps your bills on your phone. There’s no account, we don’t collect what you type into the app, and nothing in it tracks you.
This policy covers the Carlitos app for iPhone and Android and this website. “Carlitos”, “we” and “us” mean the people who make the app. If anything here is unclear, email support@example.com.
What the app keeps, and where
To work, Carlitos stores what you enter: your bills and their amounts, due dates and groups, which ones you’ve paid, your paydays, your currency, and the name you give the hedgehog to call you, if you add one.
All of it stays in the app’s private storage on your phone. It isn’t sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it. The home-screen widget reads a short summary from the same phone.
What the app doesn’t do
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- No access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- No connection to your bank, card or e-wallet. Marking a bill paid is a note you make yourself.
Backups
When you make a backup in Settings, Carlitos creates a file and hands it to whatever you choose, like your files, a cloud drive or email. That service keeps the file under its own privacy policy. The file holds your bills in readable form, so keep it somewhere you trust. Restoring a backup reads the file back onto your phone.
Purchases
Carlitos Plus isn’t on sale yet. When it is, purchases in the app go through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment, and we receive only what we need to unlock Plus, such as whether a subscription is active. We never see your card or wallet details. We’ll update this policy, naming any service involved, before purchases open.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. It’s hosted on Cloudflare, which handles standard request data, like your IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site. The pricing preview on the home page is a demo: it stores nothing and sends nothing.
Emailing us
If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and delete it when it’s no longer needed. Please don’t send bill details unless they’re needed to help you.
Children
Carlitos is made for adults managing their own bills. The app doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Your choices
You’re in control of everything the app keeps. To erase it, open Settings and tap Delete everything, or uninstall the app. Since we don’t hold your app data, there’s nothing for us to export or delete on our side. Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the Philippines’ Data Privacy Act or the EU’s GDPR give you rights over personal data. To use them for anything you’ve sent us by email, contact us and we’ll help.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the app collects, the app will tell you before it happens.
